Position Scope

FPS is a global leader in turn-key food freezing and cooling equipment serving clients across five continents. Due to our rapid expansion, we currently have an immediate opening for an experienced Design Engineer. Key Responsibilities

• Develop major components layout for various freezer models based on Project Engineer instructions
• Utilize Auto CAD and Inventor for detailed design and modelling of stainless-steel projects
• Produce drawings packages and shop drawings that are flat pattern related
• Check the detailed part drawings from the Designers
• Verify the designs meet original design requirements through analysis, inspection, and testing
• Create BOMs and input BOMs into the ERP system and understand and utilize Vault to document the drawings and transmit / submit the drawings
• Deal with engineers, shop managers, and other internal co-workers for coordination purposes
• Work with Shop head and fabricators to maximize efficiency for ease of fabrication in designs and identify/investigate mechanical failures to solve fabrications and installation issues
• Coordinates and supervises junior Designer’s design work and checks their detailed part drawings
• Work in compliance with all FPS administrative, health & safety policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• At least 5 years of experience in industrial equipment design and engineering
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Inventor, MS Officer, and popular design software
• Accurate and strong attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Team player and able to build and maintain relationships for both internal and external parties
• Travelling may be required depending on projects and client contact
