Our High Speed Separator (HSS) Life Science Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for looking for new business opportunities in the market and for developing new ideas and concepts for future offerings with the mission to develop our business.
OBJECTIVE:
Position responsible for developing sustainable profitable HSS Capital Sales OI in Life Science markets (in Western and Central regions) via
- Targeted focus on main applications (Biotech, Industrial Fermentation)
- Supporting new product launches to customer base
- Support our regional sales managers in the assigned region
- Work in conjunction with our local rep in SFO region with key accounts and active opportunities
- Analyze the market and the competitors to create a market map and customer segmentation and targeting
- Create business development plan based on the Sales company strategy and targets
- Holding seminars and trainings for key stakeholders is an important part of your job
- Create needs in the market by being close to the market
- Coordinate and support the division to analyze and prioritize the business opportunities to get the business growth.
ORGANIZATIONAL COMPONENTS
Reports to Director Level for Food Separation Sales. Maintains strong working relationship with regional sales and technical service group
KEY PERFORMANCE MEASURES
HSS Sales volume, HSS Opportunity pipeline development, HSS Sales AAA plan development (targeted accounts, industries), specific product goals (e.g. # Systems, OEM Element Accounts)

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION DESIRED
- Education (degree or years) and/or Certification/Registration:
- BSME or BSChE required
- Type and Length of Experience:
- 3-5 years minimum related sales experience
- Solution selling background desired
- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Attributes Desired in Candidate:
- Advanced degree (MS or MBA) a plus
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS
- Some Customer Site Conditions
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Travel approximately 30-50%
- Intermediate to Advanced level product and industry knowledge in Life Science markets
- Other responsibilities as assigned
