We are seeking an energetic Welder / Installation Technician / Installer to work in a manufacturing environment with other general labourer and fabricators to assemble and install large and small components in different projects.

Candidates with less experience will be considered as Assembler Trainees.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform tasks involving physical labour and operate hand and power tools
• Setup welding equipment according to the job requirement
• Plan and select optimal welding processes and parameters to ensure minimum distortion and warping
• Prepare material for assembly, including cutting and preparation of raw materials
• Weld using GTAW and GMAW processes on stainless steel and/or aluminum
• Clean and grind welds
• Perform housekeeping duties and comply with company safety policies
• Assembles FPS freezer equipment on customer site

Qualifications & Abilities

• Minimum 2 years of Tig/Mig welding experience
• Experience in a heavy industrial setting or previous experience doing assembly in a manufacturing environment is a definite asset
• Possess valid travel documents for travelling to the States and worldwide
• Able to weld in a variety of welding positions
• Able to read and understand engineering assembling drawings
• Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure
• Capable of operating forklift, overhead crane and a variety of hand tools
• Knowledge of safe working procedures and practices
• Able to effectively communicate and problem solve with supervisors and team members
• Substantial travelling required
