About the job

In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide engineering and applications support to Kathabar customers, as well as internal production, service, and automation teams. You will be responsible for product development, verifying performance &
key design details for custom projects which includes dehumidification performance, pump and fan performance, instrumentation, control strategies and other technical criteria. Currently, this is a hybrid opportunity located in Fayetteville, North Carolina or Wilmington, North Carolina.

As a part of the team, you will:

  • Mechanical design, drawings and technical documentation needed for non-standard production.
  • Assist in system process optimization.
  • Propose, implement, and tests improvements.
  • Develop system documentation (instructions, commissioning documents, etc.)
  • Review engineer-to-order customer projects for accuracy and feasibility
  • Check component and system functionality, and confirm the system meets initial specifications.
  • Work with customers on installation requirements and space constraints
  • Provide instruction to customers and training of Field Service & Commissioning
    Engineers
  • Contribute to strategic planning initiatives.
  • Travel 10-15% to support the business as needed.

What you know:

You have BA in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical) with relevant experience, and:

  • Knowledge with applied processes and instrumentation.
  • Working knowledge of heat transfer.
  • Proficiency using Solidworks or other 3D CAD software.
  • Technical knowledge of electrics and electronics (PLC), pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, compressors.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong technical skills.

Other Requirements:

Must be able to leave the country and/or state.
