Full-Time Service Technician

Job Description

Job Functions: Technical Customer Service

  • Troubleshoot customer issues via phone call, virtual meeting, or remote login of equipment
  • Create sales orders for parts, bring parts to shipping, send tracking, and follow up with customers
  • Ability to quote parts to customers via Global Shop
  • Teach customers how to maximize efficiencies of their Parker products
  • Manage and explain equipment failures and operational procedures to customers
  • Build strong relationships with customers and vendors
  • Enter, update, and close out service tickets in HubSpot
  • Suggest design improvements as noted by customers or field experience

Job Functions: New Freeze Dryer Builds

  • Assist in oversight of contractors in the facility
  • Assist in testing process in preparation of the Factory Acceptance Testing for new builds
  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing with customers

Job Functions: Startups & Travel

  • Frequent travel to customer sites to participate in the startup of new equipment
  • Frequent travel to customer sites to perform field service work
  • Occasional travel to other ProForm manufacturing locations

Misc. Job Functions:

  • Schedule and complete test runs for prospects
  • Use diagnostic tools and troubleshooting process to determine root cause of issues
  • Must be able to read and interpret refrigeration PIDs, electrical schematics, and shop drawings
  • Ability to work flexible hours depending on business needs
  • Follows all company policies and procedures
  • Adheres to safety regulations and industry standards
  • Escalates issues to manager promptly

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Learns new maintenance skills quickly
  • Possesses excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Collaborates with other members of the team
  • Demonstrates time management, problem-solving, and organization skills
  • An associate’s or bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with little oversight.
