Job Description
The Vice President, sales position is responsible for establishing the sales targets to meet the company objectives. This involves leading and directing a sales team or department to meet or exceed the agreed sales target(s), sales profitability and sustainable growth. The role involves strategic planning, managing people, selling, leveraging technology and improving processes that will promote sales growth and customer satisfaction for the organization.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

Drives strategic plans through proper analysis and understanding of market size, market potential, needs of the market(s), SWOT analysis of the competition.
Develops annual sales plan in support of organization’s high level growth plans and objectives.
Directs implementation and execution of sales policies and practices.
Ensures communications are coordinated, supports sales plan objectives and meets organizational expenditure requirements in conjunction with marketing.
Recommends sales strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analyses.
Implements a well-planned territory management model i.e. either direct or with sales distribution partners.
Manages multiple channel selling strategies.
Builds, develops and manages sales teams capable of carrying out needed sales and service initiatives.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Bachelor’s Degree (four-year college), Field of Study: Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Sales and Marketing or related field

Master’s Degree – MBA Preferred

Experience: 10 to 15 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with industrial vacuum business or sales of rotating equipment will be an asset.

Computer Skills: Familiarity with CRM and ERP tools required, MS Office
